Mike, started racing at Spanaway Speedway with the Figure 8's class while in High School. He then raced in the Hobby Stocks class for a few years, which then lead him to the SCAR (Stock Car Auto Racing) where he was the clubs Vice President in 1992 and SCAR Championship winner in 1994. In 1995 and in 1996 Mike, also drove the #50 Late Model for Lucky O'Neal in the Budweiser All Star Late Model Series where he was named “Rookie of the Year”; and Mike has been helping with the NW Pro 4 Truck series ever since.

As usual for the 2009 year, Wiley in the lead during the Idaho 200 weekend at Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho. Wiley went on the take the 2009 points championship for the Northwest Pro 4 Truck Series.
